Key backend components such as ERP, content, and campaign tools operated independently. Real-time processing, system uptime, and cybersecurity were limited. Manual effort was required to manage newsletters, loyalty functions, and product content, resulting in inefficiencies and inconsistent customer experiences across channels.
Metro Boutique required a highly available commerce platform with real-time data exchange, full system integration, and strong built-in cybersecurity.
The platform had to handle >90,000 SKUs, >600,000 product images, and >3,500 categories. It also needed to automate email campaigns and abandoned cart notifications. IDS and IPS technologies had to monitor network traffic, identify threats instantly, and actively block malicious connections—without disrupting system speed or usability.
A new modular platform was built with TIOMS-based ERP integration, full real-time connectivity to marketing, newsletter, loyalty, and billing systems, and embedded IDS/IPS security.
IDS monitors traffic and generates logs for forensic use, while IPS proactively blocks suspicious connections across HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP. A high-availability cluster guarantees >99.98 % uptime. The platform manages automated data workflows and supports personalized, scalable digital customer interactions.
Today, Metro Boutique processes over 2 million visits and 30,000+ orders annually with consistent performance and data security.
