By migrating to our OpenShift platform, HYPOTHEKE.ch has taken a decisive step towards future viability. Switzerland’s leading B2C mortgage platform now benefits from shorter development times, greater stability and an even better user experience. Status quo
Up until 2022, the HYPOTHEKE.ch application ran on a classic hosted environment.
This infrastructure was stable, but increasingly limited in terms of scalability and flexibility. At the same time, the requirements for performance and automation were growing. The team was looking for a solution that would do even better justice to the digitalization of the mortgage business and create a future-proof basis.
The challenge
The previous infrastructure slowed down further development — scaling and release cycles were too rigid.
HYPOTHEKE.ch digitizes the matching process between property owners, banks, insurance companies and pension funds. The aim was to provide mortgage customers with the best market price even faster and more transparently. This required an environment that is highly available, enables automation and efficiently integrates new services.
The solution
Together with the HYPOTHEKE.ch team, we migrated the platform to our container-based OpenShift environment.
All application components — from MongoDB clusters to Nginx/PHP instances — were containerized step by step and transferred to a scalable architecture. Managed services from CONVOTIS eliminated the infrastructure effort for the hypotheke.ch team, allowing them to focus more on the further development and innovation of the platform.
The result
The migration to OpenShift has significantly shortened development cycles, allowing new features to be brought to market more quickly.
At the same time, transparency and flexibility have been improved for end customers and lenders. Mortgage customers can now find the best conditions even more easily. For the HYPOTHEKE.ch team, the solution also means lower operating costs, higher availability and a future-proof platform for further growth.
