A wholly owned Coop subsidiary since 2012, the company operates a large online recipe platform, a popular webshop, and publishes magazines, cookbooks, and digital content. To modernize its operations, Betty Bossi initiated a large-scale digital project to consolidate E-Commerce, ERP, and content management. CONVOTIS was selected to implement a unified IT platform for scalable, media-neutral operations.
Previously, Betty Bossi’s system landscape was fragmented.
Separate platforms for webshop, logistics, CRM, and content required manual synchronization. Customer data, recipes, and assets were managed inconsistently across channels. The goal was to build a scalable solution that integrates processes, enables automation, and delivers consistent experiences across app, web, and print.
The project’s complexity stemmed from the need to consolidate ERP, content, customer management, and webshop technologies into a single, scalable system.
Millions of users, assets, and recipe records had to be processed seamlessly. The system also needed to support real-time synchronization across mobile and desktop platforms. A service-oriented architecture and new search engine were required to support a growing recipe database and enable seamless customer interactions.
CONVOTIS developed an integrated platform using a service-oriented architecture with a central business logic.
A custom ERP solution was implemented and integrated with SAP, Navision, Zendesk, and Emarsys. The platform connected webshop, mobile app, and logistics systems (MsDirect), enabling real-time synchronization and centralized reporting. Dual-location infrastructure ensured high availability, failover capability, and future scalability for all customer-facing services.
The new platform supports over 15 million annual visitors, 2.5 million customer records, and hundreds of thousands of assets.
Real-time integration across systems enables process automation, media-neutral publishing, and omnichannel personalization. The infrastructure supports fast expansion and seamless updates while connecting digital and physical services like the Coop Supercard for loyalty management and campaign tracking.
