CONVOTIS provides managed services and a secure container platform to ensure the stable and highly available operation of this e-health solution.
Status quo
Before the platform operation, healthcare services in Switzerland were highly fragmented:
Doctors, pharmacies, insurance companies and patients mostly operated in separate systems. There was hardly any end-to-end digital access to services and information. For users, this meant that processes were time-consuming and the exchange of documents or prescriptions was complex and inefficient.
The challenge
The aim was to establish a secure and scalable e-health platform that reliably connects partners and patients.
In addition to performance and stability, the focus was on data protection and data security. In particular, a modular structure was required in order to be able to integrate document exchange, prescription transmission and directories for institutions step by step — and all this under strict regulatory requirements.
The solution
CONVOTIS provides the necessary modules for the integrator BlueCare and operates the platform on a managed OpenShift environment.
Thanks to container technologies and DevOps, minimum viable products (MVPs) were quickly implemented and continuously expanded. DDoS protection, web application firewalls, regular vulnerability scans, and intrusion detection systems comprehensively guarantee data and application security.
The result
Patients today use the Well app to quickly find answers to health questions, securely communicate with medical providers, and easily manage prescriptions and documents.
The platform is highly available, stable and flexibly expandable. For the alliance partners, this means accelerated development cycles, reliable security and the opportunity to continuously expand their offerings with new partners.
